Emotional education: the silent key to school and personal success

by | Jun 17, 2025 | 0 comments

When we talk about success in school life, we usually think of good grades, academic achievement or test performance. But there is an equally important - and often overlooked - dimension that directly influences learning and well-being: the emotional education.

At Enjoy Learning CoWe understand that emotions are not "noise" that distracts from learning, but the deep language with which students process, interpret and relate to the world. Cultivating emotional intelligence from an early age not only improves academic performance, but also transforms lives..

Why is emotional education so powerful?

Because it directly influences:

🔹 Self-esteemA child or young person who recognizes his or her value is more resilient in the face of challenges.
🔹 Motivationpositive emotions fuel the desire to learn.
🔹 CoexistenceUnderstanding one's own and other people's emotions reduces conflicts and strengthens bonds.
🔹 Decision-makingWhen there is emotional balance, there is mental clarity.

Studies show that programs that integrate social and emotional skills improve school performance, decrease behavioral problems, and increase empathy and school engagement.

Signs that students need more emotional support

  • They are easily frustrated by a mistake.
  • They do not know how to express what they feel.
  • Have difficulty concentrating or cooperating.
  • They feel unmotivated or insecure about their ability.

Emotional issues cannot be "fixed with scolding" or "overcome with time". It needs safe spaces, listening, accompaniment and real tools.

What strategies do we use at Enjoy Learning Co?

Active listening and emotional validation
Playful activities to explore emotions and strengths
Breathing techniques, mindfulness, and anxiety management.
Mentoring that builds confidence and sense of accomplishment
Close communication with families and therapists, when needed
Emotional language modeling and peaceful conflict resolution

Each student is accompanied as an integral being, not only as someone who must pass an exam.

What can you do as a parent or educator?

Ask how they feel, not just how they did.
Teach him that it is okay to make mistakes and that mistakes do not define him.
Help him put a name to what he feels.
Congratulates emotional breakthroughs: when he calms down on his own, when he helps another, when he expresses something he was silent about before.
Seek support if you notice that emotions often get the better of you.

Because an emotionally strong child learns better.

At Enjoy Learning CoWe believe that emotional education is not an "extra", it is the heart of the educational process. Developing confident, empathetic and self-aware students is a lifelong investment.

We want to accompany you to strengthen those invisible bases that support every visible achievement.
